Vi users face trouble after network loses signal for few hours

The network of Vodafone Idea (Vi), one of the major telecom service providers, suddenly disappeared at around 10.30 am on Saturday in Dehradun. This led to net connectivity problems along with calling. Distressed consumers also reached various Vodafone Idea stores when the network was interrupted for a long time.

The network was disrupted for about three hours. During this time, consumers gathered in various stores of the Vi in Doon. According to Babar Zaidi, officer-in-charge of Customer Service of Dehradun Zone of Vodafone Idea, the optical fiber cable (OFC) was cut due to the ongoing construction works in the highway.

However, they did not know where the line was cut. He said that after about three hours the telecom service was completely restored.
