Security stepped up after threat received of blowing up Hardiwar station and other pilgrimage sites

In a letter reportedly sent by Lashkar-e-Taiba’s alleged terrorist commander Maulvi Amani Saleem, 12 stations, including Haridwar, have been threatened to blow with bomb on October 20. After getting the threatning letter, there has been a stir in Haridwar’s Intelligence Agency, GRP, RPF. On November 10, the letter threatened to blow up all religious places by bomb blasts. On October 5, a letter to the station superintendent of the railway station Haridwar reached Haridwar station. The letter was opened by the station superintendent Mahavir Singh on Tuesday morning. The letter has been sent in the name of terrorist Maulvi Amani Saleem. The letter states that the terrorists will bomb the railway stations of Uttarakhand including Haridwar, Dehradun, Roorkee, Laksar, Rampur, Moradabad, Bareli, Kathgodam, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar on October 20. It has also been written that on 10th November terrorists will strike at Har-ki-pauri in Haridwar on many religious sites including Lakshman Jhula and Char Dham Marg. Also comment on the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. After receiving the threatening letter, alert has been issued in the surrounding areas including the railway station in Haridwar. After getting the letter, the security forces including GRP, RPF have been on alert. On the other hand, SP GRP Roshan Lal Sharma said that security has been increased after getting the letter. Such letters have been received in the past as well. The investigation has begun. Other stations have also been informed about the letter.

Security increased after threatening to bomb station

Police have been cautious after reeving threats to blow up several stations, including Roorkee, in a letter sent to the railway station superintendent of Haridwar. Police say precautionary security has been increased. The threatening letter has been sent to the Superintendent of Roorkee railway station on October 5, under the name of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The letter threatened to blow stations with bomb, apart from many other railway stations in Uttarakhand, including Roorkee.
