April 11 declared public holiday in Uttarakhand for Lok Sabha election

Uttarakhand Chief Electoral Officer, Saujanya has issued the order to the District Election Officers regarding the public holiday on April 11 in connection with the voting day. In the order, she said that in those areas related to the five Lok Sabha seats in the state, in which a shop is situated in the commercial premises and that day it is not their weekly off, then they will remain closed for election.

She has clarified that for all employees of uninterrupted process factories, public holidays will be held on the day of polling. Labor will be given public public holiday for voting.

Interactive session for first time voters

For the first time, the Interactive Session for First Time Voters was organized by the Sweep team from all the districts of Uttarakhand, according to the directions of the Chief Election Officer’s office, in which a large number of students, teachers, principals and other personnel participated. For the new voters, this type of session has been held in India for the first time, which has been appreciated by the Election Commission of India. During this session, all the participants present during the session were informed through video film related to subjects like voter awareness, urban apathy, moral polling, accessible elections and the importance of first time voters. After the performance of the video film, all the topics discussed were discussed and oath was taken to use their franchise in the forthcoming elections.
