Sanitization drive to be conducted in Dehradun over weekend curfew

Corona infection is becoming dangerous in Uttarakhand. A few days ago, the government took a big decision. Weekly curfew will be applicable every Saturday and Sunday in Dehradun district. During this time, there will be strictness. The capital Dehradun is the worst hit district in the second wave of Corona, here cases are increasing very fast. Apart from this, weekly curfew will be applicable on every Sunday of April in the remaining 12 districts of Uttarakhand.

These activities will be exempted during the weekly curfew

There will be exemption for people working in traveling and loading un-loading of commercial vehicles. Passengers leaving for their destination after landing by bus, train and plane will be exempt. To prevent the spread of Dehradun corona infection, a sanitization campaign will be carried out for the next two days. Sanitizer will be sprayed in every locality, every street, of every ward. This action is being taken by the Dehradun Municipal Corporation.

This sanitization campaign will run in different phases. In the first phase, the sanitizer will be sprayed in 50 wards on 24 April. After this, in the second phase, on April 25, the remaining 50 wards will be sprinkled. The city commissioner has requested the city public to avoid any kind of rumor. Also follow the guidelines issued by the government.

90 thousand liters of sanitizer to be used

The Dehradun Municipal Corporation will sanitize the entire city for corona prevention. About 90 thousand liters of sanitizer will be sprayed. The corporation’s team will do sanitation in collaboration with the councilors. Municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that spraying would be done in the neighborhoods, roads, street establishments and residential areas of each ward to prevent infection. Responsibility has been allocated to the officers for this.
