Hospital files claim under Ayushman scheme without giving treatment
The list of fraudulent activities under Ayushman scheme continues to increase. So far, the scheme has got messed up in the name of patient referrals. Under the scheme, the central team inspected three hospitals including Doon Medical College Hospital to investigate the problem of treatment and claim of the beneficiaries. It is being told that the real purpose of the team was to take uncover the truth.
In one case, a private hospital applied to the claim for the treatment of a patient, who was not treated in the related hospital. In the second week of April, a patient was admitted to Doon Hospital. There was a problem in the patient’s foot. During treatment, the patient’s right foot had to be cut by surgery.
There was some other treatment after surgery. Its facility was not available in the hospital. In such a case, the patient was referred to another hospital by the hospital. It is being told that the patient went to a private hospital in the city for further treatment. Where the patient was treated.
