CM Dhami announces to make Srinagar a municipal corporation

The Chief Minister announced to upgrade the Municipal Council Srinagar Garhwal to become a Municipal Corporation. This is also going to be the first municipal corporation (Nagar Nigam) of the mountains in Uttarakhand. Addressing the Jan Ashirwad rally organized by the BJP at Ramlila Maidan in Srinagar, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the formation of Srinagar as a Municipal Corporation on the demand of Health Minister and Regional MLA Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. Apart from approving smart classes at government schools in Srinagar, the Chief Minister also assured to consider increasing the limit of free drinking water to the people of the area. He said that with the construction of the proposed double lane road (Marine Drive), it would become a center of attraction for tourists and pilgrims along with traffic convenience.

On the request of State PWD Minister Satpal Maharaj, the Chief Minister announced at the rally construction of lake in Satpuli, opening of new trades in Beeronkhal Polytechnic, approval of new subjects in Chaubattakhal College as well as approval of Jwalpa Naugaonkhal Pumping Drinking Water Scheme. Overwhelmed by the influx of people at the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad rally, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he himself and the BJP are also indebted to the people with the love and blessings of the people. He said that along with the mandate of his every announcement, this announcement would also see light of the day.

Addressing the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad rally at Ramlila Maidan in Srinagar, State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that strict instructions have been given to the officers to solve the public problems at the block, tehsil and district level at the same level. Otherwise, the government will also summon the answer of the concerned officer. The government is trying to start the Chardham Yatra, but the matter is also pending in the court. He said that after independence, only the politics of appeasement and corruption in Congress continued in the country for 55 years. After 2014, the winds of development started flowing in the country under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
