PM Modi to launch PM Vishwakarma Scheme on September 17

Haridwar Nodal Agency, General Manager, District Industries Center, Ms. Pallavi Gupta, while giving information regarding PM Vishwakarma Scheme, has said that this scheme will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day on September 17, 2023, in which traditional artisans will be trained. And families of artisans will be covered. The scheme covers 18 crafts – carpentry, boat maker, armourer, blacksmith, hammer and toolkit maker, locksmith, sculptor, goldsmith, potter, shoe maker, mason, basket/climber and broom maker, traditional doll and Toy makers, barbers, garland makers, washermen, tailors, fishing net makers, etc. have been included.

Under the process of applying for PM Vishwakarma Yojana, the applicant will have to get themself registered, the minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years, the applicant should not have taken loan or benefit under any scheme of the Central and State Government in the last 5 years. And if the loan has been repaid by the beneficiary of PM Swanidhi and Mudra Yojana, then they will be considered eligible, registration and benefit under the scheme will be given to only one person of the family, those working in government service their family members will not be eligible, verification of the application will be done in the village. It will be implemented by Panchayat Head/ULB Head and District Implementation Committee, this scheme has been planned for 30 lakh beneficiaries all over India.

Under the benefit credit support scheme, PM Vishwakarma Certificate and I.D. Cards of the beneficiaries will be made, the first installment will be Rs 1 lakh (for payment for 18 months), the second installment will be Rs 2 lakh (for payment for 30 months) and the interest rate on the loan will be 5 percent, 8 percent rebate under the scheme will be borne by the Government of India subject to the rebate limit. This will be done and the credit guarantee fee will be borne by the Government of India.

Under skill upgradation, there is a provision for first training of 5 days and second training of 15 days in this scheme and honorarium at the rate of Rs 500 per day will also be payable. As far as tool kit assistance is concerned, Rs 15,000 will be payable through e-voucher. Under the scheme, to promote digital transactions, an incentive of Re 1 per day will be given per transaction, subject to a maximum transaction of Rs 100 per month.
