AIIMS Rishikesh becomes the first institute to start heli ambulance service

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday 29 October launched the Heli Ambulance Service at AIIMS Rishikesh. This ambulance service has been started under the Sanjeevani Yojana. All 13 districts of Uttarakhand will get the benefit of this service. Heli ambulance service will prove to be a boon especially for the 11 hilly districts of Uttarakhand. This heli ambulance will provide immediate medical facility during disaster and accident in the state.

Launch of Heli Ambulance Service at AIIMS Rishikesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually joined the program and launched the Heli Ambulance Service. With this, AIIMS Rishikesh got the honor of being the first medical institution to start Heli Ambulance Service in the country. When PM Modi virtually launched the Heli Ambulance, a large number of MPs and MLAs including CM Dhami also joined the program.

Heli Ambulance Service will be completely free

The Heli Ambulance Service started under the Sanjeevani Yojana will be completely free. Earlier, the trial of Heli Ambulance was done many times. After the success of the trial, today on Tuesday 29 October 2024, an important achievement in the form of heli ambulance was recorded in the medical history of Uttarakhand.

The Center and the State Government are jointly operating the Sanjeevani Yojana. Both the Center and the State Government will bear 50-50 percent of the expenses in this. The most important thing is that under this scheme, it is mandatory to benefit at least 30 needy people every month in the heli ambulance. In view of its success, this health service can also be linked to the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in the coming days.

Will prove to be a boon for Uttarakhand

Heli ambulance service will work as a boon in the geographical conditions of Uttarakhand. The Union Civil Aviation Minister said that the Central Government is making efforts to provide maximum facilities to the citizens of the country. Serious diseases are already being treated in AIIMS, but there are some patients who sometimes could not reach AIIMS due to lack of time and die on the way. Now the heli ambulance service will prove to be a boon for such patients.
