Sex racket busted in Dehradun; 7 arrested
A big sex racket has been busted in the state capital Dehradun. Here sex racket was being operated in a hi-tech manner in Jakhan area of the city. It has been reported that the accused used to find customers through the website, later the women were sent to the given address. Police has arrested 7 people in this case. Including a foreign woman. In fact, the Anti Human Trafficking Cell and SOG were constantly getting information about those involved in the prostitution ring in Jakhan. Informers were activated on this. On Sunday night, when the police raided a hotel, two women were found there in an objectionable condition. One of them is a foreigner. During interrogation, they told that their accomplices who got them into prostitution live in a rented house. After this, the police raided the house located in Jakhan and arrested four youths and a woman from there.
During the search, four mobile phones and Rs 12,000 in cash were recovered from the accused. During interrogation, the women told that the accused youths used to contact girls from places like Delhi-Ghaziabad and call them to Dehradun. Girls were booked through the website. The accused used to give half of the money earned from prostitution to the girls, while half kept the money themselves. A case has been registered against them under the Immoral Prostitution Act at Rajpur police station.
