Fog cover in early morning in Doon on first day of New Year

On the last evening of the year the weather became cold due to cold winds. People who came out to celebrate the New Year also enjoyed it. However, their hope of snowfall could not be fulfilled. According to the Meteorological Department, the change in weather will intensify due to rain in the coming days. There will be fog on the first day of the new year and the day and night temperatures will drop by one or two degrees.

There was dense fog since Monday morning, the first day of the new year. There has been no winter rain yet. On the other hand, it is dry cold due to the northern winds. In such a situation, the weather will remain dry due to no rain and snowfall even on New Year. Change in weather will be seen only when it rains.

Yellow alert of fog has been issued by the Meteorological Center for January 1 in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar districts. There was dense fog early in Dehradun today as well. Along with this, people were troubled by cold due to northerly winds.

If we look at Sunday’s temperature, the maximum temperature in Dehradun was recorded at 22.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 6.4 degrees Celsius, with an increase of two degrees Celsius.
