Dehradun-Lucknow Volvo bus service to begin from Friday onwards

Uttarakhand Roadways has decided to start Dehradun-Lucknow Volvo bus service after four years of exercise on the demand of passengers. This bus will operate from Doon ISBT daily from Friday at 5 pm and will return from Lucknow at 5 pm the next day.

From Uttarakhand Roadways to Dehradun to Lucknow, only a simple bus operates. For the last four years, roadways officials were exercising to start the Volvo bus on this route. Although, the Volvo service of Uttar Pradesh Roadways operates regularly on this route, but the passengers of the state were demanding to start their service from the roadways headquarters. Uttar Pradesh started its three bus services between Doon and Lucknow when interstate operations started during Corona, but only one bus from Doon to Uttarakhand Roadways continued. AGM KP Singh of the rural depot of Doon said that from Friday, the Volvo bus of Uttarakhand will be operated regularly for Lucknow. The bus fare will be 1649 rupees similar to the bus of UP. Online ticket booking of this bus has also been opened.
