Youth drowns to death in Sahastradhara
A youth from Delhi who had come to Dehradun with friends,drowned in the water during a dip at Sahastradhara. The police recovered his dead body about one kilometer from the scene.
According to Rajpur police station, the rescue team arrived at the spot and started investigations as soon as the information about the drowning of the youth was reported. The body of a young man was found around one kilometer further. These days, due to the rivers flowing in full boom, there was a lot of trouble in the rescue.
The deceased was identified as Vijay (35 years old) alias Vicky son Shyam Lal resident of Qutub Vihar Phase One, Dwarka Delhi. This young man had gone to Sahasradhara with his four other friends. It is being told that he was a taxi driver in Delhi. In the morning, he reached Doon by his car.
According to the police, he jumped into the river after consuming alcohol. During this time he was trapped by a sharp current. By the time his friends got some understanding, he disappeared from their eyes.
