Private doctors strike in Uttarakhand continues for 5th consecutive day
On Tuesday, District President of IMA Dr. Manjesh Anand, Dr. K.P. Joshi, Dr. Sanjay Goyal, spoke to the journalists in the Press Club,Dehradun . Officials of the IMA have said that the hospital and clinics are closed due to the authorities. They alleged that the government had asked them to draft the Uttarakhand Healthcare Establishment Act earlier, but did not take any action to implement it later. He said that till the amendment in the Clinical Establishment Act or the Uttarakhand Healthcare Establishment Act will not be implemented, his movement will continue. On the other hand, there has been a huge problem of patients from the strike of private clinics across the state. Understanding the pain of patients, private doctors stopped the clinics and treated patients on OPD.
