Web Media Journalists decide to fight for rights under common forum

Web media journalists from all over gathered for a meeting in Dehradun on Sunday. In the meeting, the journalists of the web media expressed anger over the fact that even after the establishment of web media regulations in Uttarakhand, the web media is being neglected. All the journalists in the meeting kept their point and stressed the need to fight under a common forum. It was unanimously decided that work will be done under the banner of the Web Media Association working at the national level.

Despite heavy rains in the morning, a large number of web media journalists took part in the meeting, chaired by Chandrashekhar Joshi National President, National Web Media Association and operational senior journalist Shiv Prasad Semwal. Journalists of the web media said that there is a need for the code of conduct of the organization for websites coming in the web media, so that an unbiased person should publish his/her opinion without any external influence. The information department can also keep this standard while making the empaneling the websites for advertisement. While convening the meeting senior journalist Shiv Prasad Semwal  expressed his gratitude to the state journalist for coming in large numbers. The journalists gave their consent to come under the banner of Web Media Association organization and expressed hope of conducting a conference soon in this regards. In his address, National President of Web Media Association Chandrashekhar Joshi expressed happiness over the fact that all the journalists of Uttarakhand have been agreed to come under the banner of Web Media Association, Joshi told the meeting that, the web media association is registered at the national level with head office in Lucknow since 2014. It is the country’s first web media association, whose office bearers are in Lucknow, New Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Assam, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala. The Association is making efforts to introduce web media conventions in all the states of the country, the National Council of Web Media Dr. Chandrasen (Senior Journalist Lucknow) and National General Secretary Dr. Mo Kamran (Senior journalist Lucknow), the meeting of the Web Media Association Core Group on July 26 has been kept in Lucknow, in which talks about office bearers of various state chapters will be discussed. Apart from this, negotiations are going to be held at the national level and in addition to giving the state government a special emphasis on web media, it is necessary that a strong organization of web media journalists at the national level should be formed.


The National President of the Web Media Association said that it is a matter of great happiness that journalists of entire web of Uttarakhand have unanimously agreed to come under the umbrella of the Web Media Association, in addition to the National Executive of the Web Media Association, every state’s state executive is working, soon there will be the national conference of web media in New Delhi, in which web Media journalists from every state will also be honored. A large number of web media journalists participated in the meeting, mainly attended by Rajendra Joshi, Arun Kumar Yadav, Ghanshyam Chandra Joshi, Virendra Dutt Garola, Vinay Joshi, Sumit Singh, Deepak Dhiman, Shashi Bhushan Methane, Meera Rawat, Anil Joshi , Anoop, Vinod Kothiyal, Ganesh Nathani, Vijay Rawat, Pawan, Sompal, Kuldeep, Sushil Kumar, Abhinav Kapoor, Vineet, Chandar MS, Rajneesh Saini, Priyank, Manish Vyas, S. S. Tomar, Pradeep Choudhury, Manish Verma, Jaideep Bhatt, Sanjeev Pant, Harish Chamoli, Awadhesh Nautiyal, Vinay Bhatt, Prince Rana, Mamchand etc. journalists were present.
