Uttarakhand corona update: 366 cases found on 28 March

On Sunday, 366 new corona patients were found in Uttarakhand. This year this is the highest number of patients received on a single day. Earlier, on January 1, 361 new patients were found in the state. According to a bulletin issued by the Health Department, 167 new patients have been found in Dehradun on Sunday. Corona infection has been detected in 59 patients in Haridwar, 54 in Tehri, 31 in Nainital, 20 in US Nagar, .3 in Almora, 2 in Bageshwar, 17 in Pauri, 3 in Pithoragarh, 3 in Rudraprayag and 6 in Uttarkashi district.

With this, the total number of corona infections in the state has reached 99,881. While so far 95025 people have been cured after treatment. 42 patients from various hospitals of the state were discharged after recovery. The total number of active patients in all the hospitals of the state has crossed 1660. The rate of infection in the state is 3.68 percent while the recovery rate of patients is 95.15 percent. A total of 1709 people have died after infection in the state so far.

On Sunday, a total of around eight thousand samples were sent from various districts of the state for examination. The report of about seven thousand six hundred samples came negative while the report of six thousand is yet to come. Here, after the sudden increase in infection in Dehradun, the number of active patients has reached close to six hundred.

Due to the continuous political activities and celebrations like Holi meet in the state, there has been a sudden increase in the transition. If precautions are not taken the pace of infection may increase further in the coming days. Now in the month of April, there are auspicious dates for weddings and other religious events. In such a situation, there is a possibility of congestion. This is expected to significantly increase the infection in the state in the month of April.
