Administration limits tourist influx at Kempty Falls

Tehri district administration has swung into action after videos and pictures of a huge crowd of tourists at Kempty Falls tourist spot near Mussoorie went viral. Tehri DM issued orders late on Thursday night to set up a check post at Kempty Falls and allow limited number of tourists to enter.

In view of Covid, Tehri District Magistrate Iva Ashish Srivastava has issued an order saying that a check post will be established before Kempty Fall, where checking will be done in the order of Covid-19. 50 tourists will be allowed to enter the Kempty Falls Water Pool at an interval of half an hour.

Along with this, hooter will also be arranged at the tourist site. So that on completion of 30 minutes, the tourist who went to the water pool can be given a message to come back from there and the other 50 tourists to enter the water pool. In order to ensure strict compliance of the order, the District Magistrate has given instructions to constitute a joint team of Revenue and Police Department.
