IMA Passing out parade 2022 to be held on December 10

The passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) will be held on 10 December. In this, Gentleman Cadets from India and abroad will become an integral part of their respective country’s army by becoming officers. Rehearsals for the passing out parade have begun.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the IMA, Lt. Col. Himani Pant, the IMA came into existence on October 1, 1932. In the last 90 years, the Academy has increased its training capacity from 40 to 1650 Gentleman Cadets. So far 64,145 Gentlemen Cadets have passed out from the Academy. It also includes 2813 foreign cadets from 34 friendly countries. All the senior officers of the army, guests from India and abroad and relatives of the cadets will also participate in the passing out parade to be held on December 10.

According to academy officials, the graduation ceremony will be held on December 2. In which the cadets of the Army Cadet College wing will be initiated with the degree of Jawaharlal Nehru University. After this, these cadets of ACC wing will become part of the Academy. While the Commandant Award Ceremony will be held on December 7. In which cadets who have excelled during military training will be rewarded. The Commandant Parade will be held on the morning of December 8, while a day before the main Passing Out Parade i.e. on December 9, a multi-activity display show will be organized at the Academy.
