Traffic police comes up with new plan to avoid traffic jams in Mussoorie

The police-administration has made a traffic plan to avoid traffic jams during the tourist season. Under this, most of the routes in the hill town will remain one-way. This plan will be implemented from May 1 to June 30. CO Anil Kumar Joshi said that the upcoming traffic plan has been prepared on the instructions of SSP and SP Traffic.

Under this, the trains going from Dehradun towards Hathipaon, George Everest, Kempty Fall will be diverted one-way from Gajji Bend via Kala Chowk via Harnam Singh Road Zero Point. Vehicles going towards Suvakholi, Dhanaulti from Dehradun side will take right side from Jaypee Bend. From Dehradun, the traffic going towards Char Dukan, Lal Tibba, Picture Palace will be diverted from Kingcraig by taking a big right turn.

The traffic going from Dehradun towards Hathipaon, George Everest will be one-way and pass through Kala Chowk. The traffic coming from Kempty Fall will go towards Dehradun via Zero Point, Library Chowk. If there is heavy traffic in Mussoorie, then the vehicles coming from Kempty Fall will be sent to Dehradun from Gajji Bend via Hathi Paon.

Two cranes and two CPU teams to be deployed

The CO said that two cranes were arranged for Mussoorie. Along with this, two teams of CPU will also be deployed which will also keep an eye on the traffic system. To further strengthen the traffic system, all the organizations of the city have been consulted and suggestions have been taken. Additional police force will be deployed during the tourist season.
