Uttarakhand Assembly Session: Know the traffic plan from 5th to 8th September 2023

In view of the assembly session, the traffic police has issued a traffic plan for the city, which will remain in force till 8 September, 2023. Accordingly, five places in the city have been made barrier points. These include areas like Pragati Vihar, Shastri Nagar, Bypass, Defense Colony and Vidhansabha Tri junction. All heavy vehicles will be diverted from Kargi Chowk and Doiwala towards Dudhli Road. Vehicles going from Dehradun to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri Chamoli will be diverted from Nehru Colony, Fountain Chowk towards Pulia No. 06. Heavy vehicles will be partially stopped at Laltappad, Harrawala and Nayagaon if there is high traffic in Rispana area.

 

Dehradun route diversions

Apart from this, vehicles going from Mohkampur to Mussoorie will be sent from IT Park to Mussoorie via Jogiwala to Sahastradhara crossing. Traffic going from Dharampur Chowk towards ISBT will be diverted towards ISBT from Old Bypass Chowki via Mata Mandir Road. Vehicles coming from Mohkampur towards Dehradun city will be sent towards Dharampur, EC Road via Vidhan Sabha Tri junction, Rispana, Purani Chowki. Permitted processions will be able to proceed from Bannu School only. Their vehicles will be parked here. In case of traffic pressure, the city bus coming from Doiwala towards Dehradun will take a U-turn from Kailash Hospital and will be sent back towards Doiwala. All motorists have been requested to use two-wheelers as much as possible and help the police in the overall diversion plan. To avoid inconvenience, you should also leave the house only after seeing the traffic plan.
