Mussorie bus stop to be shifted of Dehradun railway station

Railway Administration and MDDA together, are going to make Dehradun Railway Station a role model station. The agreement has been agreed on the design between the Railways and the MDDA. In modernization of railway station, there is a barrier due to Mussoorie bus stand and GRP police station. In this way both of these will be shifted. There is a plan to shift the bus stop to ISBT. GRP police station has to be included in the new design of MDDA.

DRM Moradabad AK Singhal told reporters on Thursday that there has been an agreement with the MDDA to build the HiTech station to Doon Railway Station. Starting Friday, MDDA is going to start surveys. The decision was taken after meeting and inspection between the Railways and the MDDA on Thursday.
The DRM said that tourists from all over the world come to Dehradun. In such a situation, the department wants to develop the Doon railway station as an ideal railway station. The MDDA will devlop the design and submit it to the Railways. Railway officials will give final approval to the design. Singhal said that the share of the expenditure on the construction of this new railway station will be decided later.

With the escalator at the railway station, a facility will be set up so that people can go from one place to another without moving. Generally such platforms are developed in developed countries. There will be plenty of parking facilities. There is a plan for resolving all kinds of problems that occur during the station extension-modernization. He said that the local district administration, the state government and the railway officials are working together to improve the railway station and the city. He said that while preparing the designing of the railway station it will be taken care that there will be no problem in the coming time.
