Transfer of employees only possible under Transfer Act: UK CM Trivendra Rawat

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met the common people in Janata Milan Hall, CM residence on Wednesday and listened to their problems and complaints and directed the concerned officers to resolve them. More than 100 cases were registered during the Jan Sunwai programme. They were related to the departments of PWD, irrigation, transport, rural development, health, revenue, power, Municipal Corporation, police etc.
On the issue of transfers from the remote areas to planes by many employees in government service, Chief Minister said that the transfer related requests should not be brought during the hearing of the public problems. With the implementation of the Transfer Act in the state, all transfers of government services will be done according to the criteria. Janata Milan programme is not the right forum for the transfer requests.
During the programme, a primary teacher of Uttarkashi, who has come with transfer request showed disrespect and used abusive language. Even after requesting the teacher to convey her issue in a polite manner, the teacher continued with her indecency, following which orders to suspend the teacher were issued. Chief Minister said that the state government is keen to address the genuine grievances of the people. In order to ensure that the problems of the people are addressed at their village, block and district level, the grievance redressal camps at the level of District Magistrate and Deputy District Magistrate are organized regularly.
During the Janata Milan Programme, Haldwani resident Khushiram told that some people have established illegal possession over his land and they are being troubled by anti-social elements. On this, Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police Nainital to investigate the matter immediately.
A request was made by Vachaspati Bahukhandi for a roadways bus service from Dehradun to Baijro via Rishikesh-Satpuli route. On this, Chief Minister assured of proper action. President Tehri Mool Visthapith Sangathan demanded that Tehri dam displaced persons should be provided free of cost water and electricity supply besides reduction in cost of the Khasra-Khatuni. Chief Minister talked about positive cooperation in this regard. Mili Kaur of Dehradun, who works for the treatment of helpless injured animals, requested land for a veterinary hospital. Chief Minister, while appreciating Mili Kaur for treating injured animals, assured her of appropriate assistance.
Hukum Singh of Dehradun complained of his pending pension in the Dehradun Treasury. On the spot, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate Dehradun to take appropriate action. President of Bar Association Tehri apprised about the problems of dumping zone and parking in Tehri. Chief Minister instructed the concerned officers to take appropriate action. Karuna Aggrawal told that in her residence in Raipur, during the monsoon season, on account of having no terrace, water enters in her Raipur residence. Chief Minister asked the officers to take appropriate action.
