10 killed, 9 injured in bus accident on Rishkesh-Gangotri route
In Uttarakhand, on the Rishikesh Gangotri highway, the bus of Uttarakhand transport corporation fell in a depth of about 250 meters near Suryaadhar, in which ten people died. It is being told that 9 of them are injured. The police has reached the spot. There were 25 passenger in this bus. Relief and rescue work is in progress. This is the second incident this month, when the bus has fallen into a gorge and many people have died.
Meanwhile, the state government has ordered to arrange helicopters to transport the injured to AIIMS. At the same time, the government has announced compensation amount of Rs two lakhs to the families of those who died in this bus accident. Fifty thousand rupees will be given to the injured. The magisterial inquiry orders of this case have been given.
CM Trivendra Singh Rawat tweeted that “there has been tragic information about the roadways bus crash on Chamba-Uttarkashi road. My condolences to the relatives of the dead in the accident. Instructions for immediate treatment were given to bring the seriously injured to AIIMS from the helicopter. The families of the deceased will be provided with financial help of Rs. 2 lakh each and Rs. 50,000 each to the injured immediately. Administration teams are present on the spot for relief and rescue work.”
It is being told that the police team, the fire department and the Disaster Response Team are present at the spot. DM and SDMs are also there.
