Ruskin Bond celebrates 85th birthday in Mussoorie

Eminent writer Ruskin Bond interacted with readers on his birthday Answering the questions of the readers, he said that “as long as the body will accompany it, I will keep writing”. When a reader asked questions about his being unmarried, Ruskin said, ‘I am thinking of writing a book about this. I will work on it soon. ‘ On this occasion, he dedicated his new composition ‘Coming Around The Mountain’ to the readers too.

Born in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh on May 19, 1934, Ruskin Bond has turned 85 years old. Like every year, he cut the cake with readers at his residence in Mussoorie and had a long chat with them. He instructed the readers that it is necessary for success in life to always be happy, be hardworking and respect your parents.

Responding to questions related to life as an author, Ruskin told that he has written 150 books so far. Describing the affection of the readers as the capital of life, the noted author said, “I started writing at the age of 17. Today I am writing with my hand at the age of 85 and I will keep writing as long as the body will accompany me. ‘

At the Cambridge Book Depot of Mussoorie, Ruskin celebrated the birthday cake by cutting the cake.

Mussoorie is changing

Ruskin said that he has a special attachment to Mussoorie. He said that in the year 1964 he first came to Mussoorie and stayed here. Reflecting on these 55 years” I have seen the change of Mussoorie. He said that pollution is increasing now in this peaceful city, but we are fortunate that despite this the situation is not terrible. ” He also  appealed  with the common citizens to cooperate in pollution control.
