Police-students clash at DAV College

There was a dispute between two student groups in Dehradun’s DAV PG College on Monday. The matter escalated so much that the police had to use sticks to disperse the crowd. Students have also been injured in the incident. Many vehicles were also damaged during this. Later, the police chased the students out with sticks. Police have been deployed as a precautionary measure after vacating the college. These days the final year papers of Garhwal University are going on in the college. Apart from this, IGNOU examinations are also going on. For this the college has been opened.

Under the guise of this, a large number of students are reaching the college unnecessarily every day. On Monday, some students attacked some ABVP students with hockey and baseball sticks. There was chaos there. The students started running here and there. Due to less force, the police could not handle the matter.

In such a situation, the police had to disperse the students by using sticks. The Chief Proctor of the college, Major Atul Singh told that the students coming to the college unnecessarily are not beeing allowed. At the same time, till late evening, the police was taking action to register a case in the matter.
