Uttarakhand rains: Schools in Champawat district to remain closed on August 12
In view of the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department of heavy to very heavy rain in the district, keeping in mind the safety of students the District Magistrate / Chairman, Disaster Management Authority Champawat, has declared one day holiday in all district’s government, non-government schools from class I to XII and Anganwadi centers on August 12, 2023. Giving this information, he instructed the Chief Education Officer and the District Program Officer to take necessary action.

Meanwhile, there seems no respite from the rains soon as the weather department has predicted a spell of heavy to very heavy rains in most of the districts of the state till August 14.
