ICC approves Dehradun Cricket Stadium as per international standards

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given recognition to the Dehradun International Stadium. The experts of the ICC have found this stadium with 25 thousand spectators capacity as per international standards . It has found it suitable for all formats of cricket, T20, One Day and Test matches. There is a three-T20 series starts between Afghanistan and Bangladesh from June 3 in the stadium. Both teams have reached Dehradun for this.

Dehradun International Cricket Stadium is going to host the first international series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. For this, a team led by former fast bowler Javagal Srinath, who was present at the ICC’s panel of experts, visited the stadium last time. After this, the expert panel handed over the report to the ICC on the stadium. Based on this report, the stadium has been found suitable for international matches and it has been included in the panel.

The team which came under the leadership of Srinath found the level of facilities at the stadium to be adequate. Simultaneously terming the media and broadcasting requirements as suitable for international matches, as well as the best in new developed stadiums for one-day and Test matches, along with T-20. This stadium built in the foothills of the Shivalik hills in the capital, Dehradun has been named by the ICC experts as the natural destination. After this ICC report has been revealed, Doon has opened doors for international cricket matches in the future.
